Oh, bullshit. The New York Football Giants played well above their potential last year when they lucked their way into a Super Bowl.
Last night’s game? The one which they didn’t get blown out by a decent Dallas team but couldn’t win? That’s NYFG’s potential.
Before being crowned champions last year, they were 9-7. Nine wins, seven losses. Not bad, not great.
I’m kind of hating these wildcard slots. Seasons become meaningless when the 2010 Seattle Seahawks can be in contention at 7-9 and get a shot at an 11-5 Saints team.
What a waste of time. As was watching a 9-7 football team that suddenly went on a six-game win streak go on to win the Super Bowl.
